He is currently Chairman of the Markets Board (with oversight of the 3 London wholesale markets: Smithfield, Billingsgate and New Spitalfields) and sits on the Investment Board, Pensions Committee, Planning & Transportation Committee and Port Health & Environmental Services Committee.  He also serves on the Gresham Committee (City Side).


He has previously served on the Police Authority Board (and has served on the Safer City Partnership where he was Chairman of both whilst being Patron of the City of London Crime Prevention Association).  He has served on the Bridge House Estates Board, one of the largest charities in the UK. He is also a past Chairman of the Corporation’s Christ’s Hospital Committee serving as a Donation Governor, and where he has served as an Almoner on the school’s Foundation.  He is past Chairman of the Vintry & Dowgate Wards’ Club and has served as Deputy Governor of The Honourable, The Irish Society.  He is also proud that a police horse named in his honour, #PH Pollard, continues on his beat in the City.


Henry is a Liveryman of the Skinners’ Company, his mother company, and became a Freeman in 1991 and has served on the Court as an Extra Member.  He was educated at a Skinner’s school, Tonbridge School in Kent.

Henry is married to Michelle and they have two sons with whom he enjoys sport.
