Julian is Founder and Chair of JPES Partners Limited, a specialist consultancy focusing on the investment management, property and real assets sectors. Prior to that he was Global Head of Communications and Institutional Marketing Director at Schroders plc and a partner of a hedge fund.

Julian is a former parliamentary candidate, contributor to policy development and marathon runner and is a Freeman of the City of London.
