Guild Civic Launch with the lord mayor

On September 14th 2018 the Guild of Investment Managers was fomally launched at a glittering reception at Chartered Accountants' hall, London.

​

We were delighted to welcome Alderman Charles Bowman, Lord Mayor of London, who spoke of his high hopes for what we can achieve for the industry and City as a whole. We were also honoured to have the Drapers, Blacksmiths, Feltmakers, Accountants, Marketors, Actuaries, Arbitrators, Information Technologists, Management Consultants, International Bankers, Tax Advisors, and the Guild of Nurses with us, as well as representatives from City Women, The Diversity Project, Women in Banking & Finance, amongst others.

This fantastic night marked what we hope will be the start of an exciting journey for all involved in the Guild! 

In the diary:First Meet & Greet Guild social

new website launched

The Guild will be holding its first Meet and Greet event on 23rd October at Silk & Grain on Cornhill, London.

​

In the first of what is to be a regular event, new and current members will have the chance to get acquainted with their fellow members and discuss Guild plans over a few drinks in a relaxed and informal setting.

​

We will also be welcoming potential members to the drinks to meet us and find out more about what we do.

​

Whilst the rest of the City was soaking up the sun, the Guild was hard at work over the summer designing a fresh new look for the website.

​

The design team was tasked with creating a user friendly site for members to access the latest Guild news and events. It also needed provide potential members with easy to understand information on the Guild and its purpose, and was subject to extensive user testing before rollout.
