About the Event
Mansion House is home to The Harold Samuel Collection of Dutch and Flemish 17th century Paintings, bequeathed to the City of London in 1987. It is perhaps the best collection of Dutch Art in Britain and comprises 84 pictures, the most famous of which is “The Merry Lute Player” by Frans Hals. There are also works by Maes and Van Ruisdael, and in addition some fine sculptures.
Please aim to arrive at 10.45am outside St Stephen Walbrook (or inside if is wet), so we can all enter Mansion House together. The nearest tube stations are Mansion House and Bank. Due to security requirements, bookings for this event will close on 3rd November.
Please note that the tour is subject to there being no overriding requirements, arising subsequently, for the Mansion House to be used for any other function of national importance or of special importance to the City.
All times are subject to change.
