Court Member

Catherine has a BSc in Mathematics and Chinese Studies from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Global Banking and Finance from Regents University, London. Before joining the investment management industry, she spent a short period of time working in Hangzhou, China, for a German company honing her German and Mandarin business language skills. In 2013 she joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments as a graduate on the Investment 2020 programme and then worked for the Chief Investment Officer as an Investment Analyst for 3 years before moving to her current role as a corporate debt analyst in the Emerging Market Debt team in 2018.

 

Catherine is a keen advocate for improving diversity in the investment management industry and took on a lead role in the Social Mobility workstream as part of her company’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory group and she is also an ambassador for Investment 2020 and has presented to schools explaining the different routes into the industry. Catherine was a Founder Member of the Guild of Investment Managers and the importance of all aspects of diversity is something she hopes to explore more in her capacity as Chair of the Events committee for the Guild. In her spare time Catherine enjoys playing the piano and clarinet and attending dance classes to keep fit.
